Latest download (Thurs 26th May '05) !***!
Absolute horror!
I double clicked on the GW desktop icon tonight, the interface downloaded the latest update and then .......... the grey 'Connecting to ArenaNet 0%@ '............ and there it sits! WHAT HAVE THEY DONE???? It was working 99% perfectly until this moment and now nothing... HELP! What can I do? I'm already suffering from withdrawl symptoms. After 10 mins..... its still there on 0% |

Probably too many people connecting, try again later Id say, although if its any consolation, its just downloaded them all fine for me

Didn't have any problems with the update last night. Who knows, maybe your firewall is blocking the download.

Hmmmmm..... Very strange. In the end, after checking everything else was working fine, and that the firewall wasn't blocking,, (it hadn't in the past) I decided that I would try and re-install. Going through Control panel to uninstall the existing program I got a GW screen asking if I wanted to reinstall , obviously via download, so I though I'd try that. Again, exactly the same effect, trying to connect but just hanging there.
The next thing I wondered was - some software requires a restart to get it going. It was worth a try. I executed a soft restart and clicked the GW icon again. Perfect!!!! It connected immediately, downloaded the full updated and continued into the logon screen as if nothing different had ever happened. Play was resumed as normal. Very strange, but my blood pressure has also now returned to normal.  )

ok i've having the same problem and tried reinstalling, i dont understand what was it that you did to get it to work?? just restart you comp????

Have you got a router (Wireless connection)? If yes you may have to open the ports i think it's 6112 and 80?
